Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, candidate for U.S. Senate, announced today he has raised nearly $1.5 million since debate day with over 30,000 new contributors. The surge in grassroots momentum comes after Mandela’s clear debate victory holding Ron Johnson accountable for his record of supporting eight national abortion bans, including a ban that made no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the mother.
Since debate day, the campaign has surged in grassroots momentum:
- Nearly $1.5 million raised since Friday
- Nearly 30,000 new contributors to the campaign since Friday
- Over 677,000 contributions to the campaign throughout the cycle
- Nearly a quarter of a million contributions since the beginning of October
In October, Mandela Barnes kicked off his “Ron Against Roe” tour and launched a new ad slamming Ron Johnson for co-sponsoring eight national abortion bans, including a ban that made no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the woman. For the next 29 days, Mandela will continue to take Johnson to task for his dangerous policies that put women’s lives at risk and leave working families in the dust.
