As a Christian, I believe that marriage is between one man and one woman, and that marriage is a public act we do before God and our community.
I also believe there is a difference between a Sacramental union and a Governmental union, I understand the human need for love, and I do not believe in judging others. Our Lord calls us to love everyone.
Marriage is a state issue, not a federal issue, which has deep importance to both religion and the community. We must refrain from any form of discrimination. We must also respect religious beliefs and avoid indoctrination of children regarding sexuality or gender.
