Hartford, CT – Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement after three Bristol police officers were shot in the line of duty.

“My  prayers and condolences are with the families of Sgt. Dustin Demonte  and Officer Alex Hamzy of the Bristol Police Department, who lost their  lives in a tragic act of gun violence last night,” said Larson.  “We are thinking of the entire Bristol Police Department as they mourn  this devastating loss, and I wish the third officer injured, Alec  Iurato, a quick and full recovery. This is a somber reminder of the  danger law enforcement experience as we work to ensure they have the  resources they need to protect our community safely.”
