Today, Congressman Ryan (OH-13) shared new data on the Inflation Reduction Act’s historic impact in lowering health care costs for Ohioans.

“No Ohioan should ever have to choose between putting food on the table or affording their life-saving medication. Health care costs are too high, which is why I was proud to pass this historic legislation that takes on special interests and slashes prices for hardworking families,” said Congressman Ryan. “With the Inflation Reduction Act, we are cutting costs for millions of Ohioans and bringing some relief from out-of-control prescription drug and health care costs—all while reducing the national deficit.”

According to Congress’ Joint Economic Committee, because of Congressman Ryan’s support of the Inflation Reduction Act:

  • 219,00 Ohioans can now access affordable health care coverage.
  • 1,900,000 seniors in Ohio will soon pay less for their medications, including having their out-of-pocket costs capped and paying no more than $35 a month for insulin.
This cost-reducing bill received no Republican votes in either the House or the Senate.
