Today, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson released the below video statement after completing her twentieth in-person town hall meeting in Iowa's First Congressional District. Hinson has held an in-person town hall in all twenty counties in the district. Every town hall has been open to the public and press, and questions are never screened, nor filtered.
"It’s official—we’ve held a town hall meeting in every single county in our district! Thank you to everyone who has taken time out of your busy schedules to share your stories with me, and your thoughts. Questions at my town halls are never screened, I don't filter them because I’m out here working in the district to get feedback directly from you. I want to hear what is on your mind," said Hinson in the video. "There’s been a common theme across each of my town halls in the district: plain and simple, Iowans are sick of this Administration’s policies, that have caused record high prices, ceded American energy independence, opened our Southern Border, and expanded government intervention in Iowans’ daily lives. I am hearing that everywhere I go. It is truly my honor to tell Iowans’ stories in Washington. I’ll continue to use your feedback to push back against harmful policies, while working to find common ground to deliver for our communities."
