| “As our nation continues to mourn the tragedy in Uvalde, Congress needs to meet this moment with legitimate solutions. Unfortunately, House Democrats pushed legislation that will do little to stop violence, but will target law-abiding citizens and violate our Second Amendment rights.
“We have to enforce the laws on the books and stop guns from getting into the wrong hands without infringing on the rights of law-abiding citizens. That's why I am a co-sponsor of the STOP II Act, and why I will continue working on efforts to bolster school safety, better train law enforcement, and help deliver critical mental health resources to our communities." –Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
