This evening, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) held her eighth telephone town tall hall event, connecting with thousands of Iowans while she is working for them in Washington during House Appropriations Committee markups. Throughout these markups, Hinson has advocated for responsible spending, resources for border security, and pushed back against government overregulation of Iowa farmers. This was Hinson's tenth virtual town hall event and she has also held an in-person town hall in all twenty counties of Iowa's First Congressional District, marking thirty town halls total.

"Agree or disagree, Iowans will always know where I stand on issues that matter to them. With the many challenges facing our country right now, there is nothing more valuable to me than hearing from those I represent. Tonight, I heard from folks who are worried about the direction this Administration is taking our country, provided a recap of my recent travel to the Southern Border, and answered questions on a wide variety of topics including inflation, gas prices, and the baby formula shortage. Iowans' feedback will always drive my work in Washington--thank you to everyone who joined the discussion tonight." - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
