Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) released the following statement on the bipartisan Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act (PACT Act) passing the U.S. House of Representatives. This legislation will ensure that veterans exposed to toxic hazards during their military service are eligible for medical care and benefits.

"We promise those who serve our country that we will take care of them when they return home. The bipartisan PACT Act will help fulfill that promise by ensuring that veterans exposed to toxic hazards, such as burn pits and Agent Orange, can access necessary medical treatment. While Speaker Pelosi previously pursued a partisan version of this legislation, I was proud to support tonight's bipartisan bill, and I hope the President signs it into law as soon as possible."  - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
