Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) released the following statement after completing her seventh round of visits to all 20 counties in Iowa's First Congressional District.
"We wrapped up this round of our 20-county tour in Bremer County today. From visiting our Main Street shops, meeting with veterans, hearing from health care workers, and touring child care centers – it was great to connect with Iowans of all walks of life across our district," said Congresswoman Ashley Hinson. "Across the board, folks are telling me that one-party rule in Washington is hurting them. Between high grocery costs, soaring energy prices, and supply chain breakdowns – it’s getting harder to make ends meet and this economy just isn’t working for working families. Yet, President Biden and Speaker Pelosi continue to double down on the policies that caused these problems in the first place. I’ll continue to serve as a check on the Biden Administration and propose real solutions to the challenges we are facing based on the feedback I get from Iowans. It’s such an honor to serve you in Washington and tell your stories. We’re looking forward to getting back on the road soon for our next 20 county tour!"
