Violent crime has skyrocketed under Lujan Grisham

Albuquerque, NM — The Mark Ronchetti campaign for Governor released a new television ad today underscoring the violent environment that Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has left New Mexicans vulnerable to.

“Crime is out of control in New Mexico,” says the ad. Lujan Grisham’s leadership has resulted in New Mexico being labeled the second most violent state in the nation and record numbers of murders.

The ad showcases the fear that everyday New Mexicans face when pumping gas and walking to their cars alone in parking lots.

Ronchetti highlights key points of his plan to restore public safety and fight crime in the ad:

  • End catch and release policies in New Mexico
  • Tough on crime laws, and appoint even tougher judges
  • Fully support and fund our police
These policies are part of a larger crime plan that Ronchetti’s campaign released in June of this year, to take back New Mexico’s neighborhoods and push back on this unprecedented crime wave. You can read the entirety of the plan here
