Albuquerque, NM — Members of the business community gathered for what was supposed to be the NAIOP New Mexico Chapter gubernatorial forum between Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and Mark Ronchetti. Unfortunately, Lujan Grisham declined the invitation from small business leaders, denying them the opportunity to hear her defend her record.

Reporters have inquired about the governor’s whereabouts with Lujan Grisham’s campaign and official office. Both entities refused to disclose the governor’s location.

Coincidentally, according to other news reports that can be found here, there is a wealthy donor event in Aspen, Colorado this week. Is it possible that Lujan Grisham skipped a debate hosted by New Mexican small business owners to hang out with millionaires in Colorado?

The voters of New Mexico deserve to know if Lujan Grisham makes out-of-state donors a higher priority than the people of New Mexico who she wants to vote for her.

Moreover, if she did leave the state then she was no longer acting governor. Per the state constitution, Lt Governor Howie Morales is acting governor when she is. This all happened without the press, or public being notified.
