Albuquerque, NM — Today, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham came out in support of Joe Biden’s elitist, student loan bailout scheme. In New Mexico, only 28% of citizens hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, which means this extreme step by President Biden will result in 72% of New Mexicans in the working class getting stuck with the bill.

“This is completely unacceptable and wrong,” said Mark Ronchetti. “In a time of skyrocketing inflation, Joe Biden and the Governor want to make working class New Mexicans pay the student loan bill for the wealthiest among us who carry the majority of the debt. I firmly oppose Biden’s elitist bailout.”

“This Governor would rather expand government and achieve her progressive goals instead of helping out working families who are struggling. The elites in Washington and Santa Fe do not care about everyday citizens in New Mexico. When I’m governor, I will stand up for the people of New Mexico and fight for their economic success,” said Ronchetti.

New Mexico families are already paying $8,000 more per year because of Joe Biden and Michelle Lujan Grisham’s inflationary policies. Now they will have to pay for this as well.
