Greenwood Village, CO — In the third Colorado gubernatorial debate tonight, Jared Polis refused to apologize to the thousands of parents in our state who have lost children to his deadly fentanyl law.

At the CBS 4/Colorado Sun debate tonight, Heidi Ganahl held Jared Polis accountable for his 2019 law that made possession of fentanyl a misdemeanor. Heidi presented Polis with an opportunity to correct the mistake he made. Instead of addressing those heartbroken parents, Polis attempted to dodge the reality that Colorado families are living with every day.

Miki Sedivy lost her 16-year-old daughter Hannah to fentanyl poisoning last year. At the last debate, Polis refused to acknowledge her. And now, Miki says she’s heartbroken by what he has just done.

“My heart is broken, yet again. Jared Polis couldn’t even say sorry for decriminalizing fentanyl. His law killed my child, and so many others. There are no words,” said Miki Sedivy.
