Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced that Congressman Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01) had received the Advocate for American Business award in recognition of his support for bipartisan pro-growth and pro-business policies.

“Since coming to Congress, I’ve worked to put Arizona first: keeping our state competitive, investing in businesses, workers, and families, and strengthening our rural economies,” said O’Halleran. “I’m honored to receive the U.S. Chamber’s Advocate for American Business award and will continue working with my colleagues in Congress and Arizona’s business community to invest in our growing industries, support rural economic growth, and deliver the resources our small businesses need.”

“The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is proud to present Congressman Tom O’Halleran with the Advocate for American Business award in recognition of his legislative efforts in support of the business community,” said U.S. Chamber Western Region Vice President Jennings Imel. “Congressman O’Halleran was a leader, publicly and privately, on some of the most important issues facing the business community. He was one of the first members to request a stand-alone vote on the bipartisan infrastructure bill and he was a leading voice in support of the CHIPS Act, which will enhance Arizona’s competitive advantage in attracting investments in semiconductor manufacturing.”

The Advocate for American Business award is given to select members of Congress who support the U.S. Chamber’s policy priorities, have a strong track record of working across the aisle, and demonstrate legislative leadership to get good bills passed and keep bad bills from advancing.
