Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is awarding $3.5 million to the City of Cedar Rapids for derecho relief efforts.
"Our communities still need assistance with derecho recovery, and I'm committed to ensuring we have the necessary recovery resources. Following my strong advocacy on the House Appropriations Committee, we've been able to bring millions of dollars home to help with derecho relief, and this funding is critical to our ongoing recovery efforts in Cedar Rapids and other impacted communities.
