From July 29, 2022 post.

Yesterday, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and her Republican colleagues defended their title as champions of the Congressional Baseball Game. The GOP shut out the game, 10-0 at Nationals Parks in Washington, D.C. Proceeds from the game are donated to local charities, with last year’s game raising over $1 million.

Senator Ernst was one of five women playing in the game and the only Republican Senator on the field. She joined her teammate and fellow Iowan Congressman Randy Feenstra (R-Iowa) this week to discuss what they were looking forward to most ahead of the game.
