Citing a reported 1,250 illegal border crossings in Yuma, Arizona alone in the span of 24 hours, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) is sounding the alarm on the crisis at our Southern border created by the Biden administration’s policies.

In a press conference today, Ernst slammed the Biden administration for costing Americans billions and jeopardizing the nation’s security by continuing to neglect the Southern border barrier. Ernst also thanked the men and women of the Border Patrol for their tireless work.

Earlier today, Ernst introduced a commonsense bill called the BUILD IT Act which would turn over the unused materials purchased to construct the Southern border barrier to any state wishing to finish the job. The bill is cosponsored by Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).
