AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today encouraged Texans to support Representative Terry Wilson for re-election to House District 20 and Janis Holt for House District 18 at campaign events in Cedar Park and Lumberton, respectively.

Addressing a crowded room of supporters, Governor Abbott highlighted Representative Wilson’s dedication to strengthening the Texas economy and ensuring Texas parents have the ability to choose the best school for their child’s educational needs.

“I am proud to be here today to let every Texan in House District 20 know that I support Terry Wilson for re-election,” said Governor Abbott. “Terry has worked with me to keep Texas the best state for doing business in the nation. He has also fought for every parent’s right to choose the best school for their children, a view that is extraordinarily popular in this district. We need to send Terry back to Austin to ensure a school choice bill reaches my desk.”

Later in the day, Governor Abbott traveled to Lumberton to join Janis Holt to support her as the next State Representative for House District 18. The Governor praised her dedication to the Texas economy, securing the border, and her allegiance to the conservative values that matter to Texans in House District 18.

“I need someone shoulder-to-shoulder with me fighting back against Bidenomics in the Texas House,” said Governor Abbott. “If you send Janis to Austin, we will work together to bring Texans another property tax cut next session. She will also help deliver a school choice bill to ensure every parent has the God-given right to choose the best education for their child. Each of you deserves a State Representative that will represent and fight for your values, and that person is Janis Holt.”
