Schaumburg, IL…Republican congressional candidate Chris Dargis says Congress needs to pass legislation aimed at protecting Supreme Court justices in the wake of mobs gathering outside their homes in effort to intimidate them to change their vote on the Dobbs case. Dargis released the following statement on the issue:
“The intimidation of Supreme Court justices continues and still Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi remains silent. Why isn’t he speaking out against this violation of federal law? Does he think that as long as he agrees politically with the people engaged in the illegal intimidation of Supreme Court justices that this kind of behavior is acceptable? Why won’t he take a stand to protect the integrity of our judicial system?
“The Senate has approved the Supreme Court Police Parity Act to increase security for the Supreme Court. No action has been taken in the House, and Congressman Krishnamoorthi continues to stay silent on this issue, which shows ideology means more to him than the safety of the Supreme Court justices and their family members.
“This kind of radicalism is a clear example of how out-of-touch far-left extremists like Congressman Krishnamoorthi are. We can have policy disagreements on issues, but we should all be united in something as basic as ensuring the safety of the justices serving on the Supreme Court. There is no excuse for violence and intimidation. Congressman Krishnamoorthi’s silence is shameful and unbecoming of an elected representative.”
Chris Dargis is a Ukrainian-American and retired Naval Officer running as a Republican in the 8th Congressional District. The Primary Election is June 28, 2022. For information on Chris Dargis, visit: https://www.votedargis.com/.
