Palatine, IL – The Daily Herald newspaper has endorsed Chris Dargis, candidate for Congress in the 8th District, stating he is the Republican candidate in the field with the best chance of beating incumbent Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi in November.

According to the Daily Herald endorsement, “if someone in this Republican field would be capable of giving Krishnamoorthi or any Democrat a run, it would be Dargis. He not only speaks eloquently in emphasizing the traditional Republican approach to inflation, taxes, crime, and immigration, but he has some financial support behind his candidacy too…Our endorsement goes to Dargis.”

Currently, there are five candidates vying to be the Republican nominee to face Krishnamoorthi in the fall. Dargis said the endorsement is a validation of the hard work he and his team have put into the campaign.

“I will be the first to acknowledge that beating Congressman Krishnamoorthi is an uphill challenge, but I have faced tough challenges before while serving in the Navy and all throughout my career,” Dargis said. “Voters are tired of the politics as usual. They are ready for someone who will stand up for working families and who will represent them and their values. I believe I am the candidate best equipped to defeat the far-left Biden/Krishnamoorthi agenda that is leading to record inflation, high taxes, and a looming recession. Voters want solutions – not the empty promises of career politicians. I look forward to being the voice of 8th District residents in Congress.”

Chris Dargis is running as a Republican in the 8th Congressional District. The Primary Election is June 28, 2022. For information on Chris Dargis, visit: https://www.votedargis.com/.
