Palatine, IL – The Chicago Tribune has endorsed Chris Dargis, candidate for Congress in the 8th District based on his policies and ideas to protect working families in Illinois.
According to the Chicago Tribune endorsement, “Dargis advocates zero-baseline budgeting ‘to force Congress to evaluate our spending programs to ensure taxpayer dollars are benefiting the American people instead of lining the pockets of special interests.’”
Currently, there are five candidates vying to be the Republican nominee to face Krishnamoorthi in the fall. The 8th District race has recently been added to the National Republican Campaign Committee’s list of targeted races, according to recent news reports.
“The momentum for my campaign is building,” Dargis said. “Republican voters are excited about this race, and it is starting to get some national attention. It is not going to be easy to flip the 8th District red, but I believe I am the candidate best able to challenge the failed Biden/Krishnamoorthi agenda. My message to working families in the 8th District is ‘help is on the way.’”
Dargis also received the Daily Herald endorsement previously.
“These endorsements are a reflection of the hard work my team and I have put into this campaign,” Dargis said. “We have a long way to go, but I appreciate the recognition from some of the major newspapers in the district of the work we are doing to flip the 8th District.”
Chris Dargis is running as a Republican in the 8th Congressional District. The Primary Election is June 28, 2022. For information on Chris Dargis, visit: https://www.votedargis.com/.
